The Fiction Fairy

I'm Micheala Beth George, but most people just call me Mickey. I am 21 years young, and reading is one of my favorite escapes from reality. I love reading anything with some sort of romance in it. Vampire Kisses: Graveyard Games, Volume 1 - Ellen Schreiber, Xian Nu Studio I still love Raven's style, the story was still great, and I definitely can't wait for the next volume... BUT I didn't like the new way Raven and some of the other characters were being drawn. I also wish it had had a slightly more captivating storyline. To me, Blood Relatives was much better. Nevertheless, Graveyard Games is great and I can't wait for Volume 2 to come out!
Lola and the Boy Next Door - Stephanie Perkins I just have to say, Lola and the Boy Next Door was even better than Anna and the French Kiss, and I have a feeling that Stephanie Perkins books will only get better. I feel like Lola and the Boy Next Door was better because it seemed deeper than Anna and the French Kiss (Don't get me wrong, I still loved Anna and the French Kiss) but In Lola there seemed to be more of a back-story. There was the history with Lola and Cricket, Lola's crazy mother, etc. Also, Lola and Cricket are possibly my two favorite book characters of all time. I can relate with so many things about Lola. The way that she dresses crazy (some people have tried to get me to tone down the way I dress... but it's never worked), her trouble with guys, etc. Lola is just an amazing character. Stephanie Perkins also did great on how she portrayed how some people can really fool you. Its amazing. Okay... I'm done gushing... :P
But seriously, Go read this book.
So Much Closer - Susane Colasanti So when I started reading So Much Closer, I kinda thought that this was going to be my least favorite Susane Colasanti. But hey, It's Susane Colasanti so I knew I had to give it a chance.
I am soooo glad I did. I thought it was crazy for Brooke to follow Scott when he moved to New York (seemed pretty stalker-ish to me); but the more I read the more I loved this book!
It was great, and honestly just what I needed to read while going through my Junior year of high school.
Susane Colasanti is one of my favorite authors and I would recommend any & all of her books to you.
All Together Dead - Charlaine Harris Another great book in the Sookie Stackhouse series.
I guess I was/am a little disappointed by that lack of Sam in this book, and there really should have been more of Eric. (You can NEVER have too much of Eric). I'm also not a fan of Quinn.
So all those things considered, this might be my least favorite in the series so far.
But just because it wasn't my favorite doesn't mean it wasn't good or that I didn't like it.
I can't wait to get the next book so I can see what's going to happen with my
favorite-Vampire-Viking ;P
Waiting For You - Susane Colasanti This book was amazing!
Sometimes what you're looking for could be waiting right there in front of you,
which is what I felt was basically the theme for Waiting For You.
In each Susane Colasanti book I find it so easy to connect with the characters. They seem so real and they all have there own problems.
I really connected with everything that Marisa felt in Waiting For You because one of Marisa's problems is her anxiety disorder, which I have problems with anxiety as well.
It's a great book that shows you how some things you have to learn to live with, some things you have to move on from, and some things have been waiting for you all along. <3<br/>
Something Like Fate - Susane Colasanti I love books that introduce you to new things; This was one of those books.
After reading this, I have decided to learn more about:
1. Birth Charts/ Moon Signs
2. Creative Visualization
3. Dream Analysis
4. Tarot
5. Palmistry
6. Gemology
(I actually already found out my Moon Sign Characteristics while I was reading this; They were amazingly accurate.)
I love how in Susane's books you never seem to start off with the full story... there's always more to it than what you know.
I especially loved how this book was so unpredictable. I had about 3 chapters left and still had no clue how it was going to end! It makes you feel like anything can happen.
Also, Susuane writes about actual problems and things we go through as teenagers, and her books are more than just entertainment. They can be a lot of help.
My favorite by her is still When It Happens (not sure if that's ever going to change), but if fate should have it, You should read this book ;)

"Fate is like a strange, unpopular restaurant, filled with odd waiters who bring you things you never asked for and don't always like." - Lemony Snicket
SPOILER ALERT!
Once in a Full Moon - Ellen Schreiber This was a great book :)
I will admit, some parts of it did frustrate me a lot thought. First of all, Celeste needs to learn how to stand up for herself. She isn't very brave or heroic. She claims to not care about the "sides" that people in Legend's Run takes but she's so afraid of what people will think that she won't do anything about it - even for the guy who saved her life. All things considered, Celeste is kinda a scaredy-cat. And her friends are pretty annoying. They pick who she dates based on what's convenient for them (not very good friends, if you ask me) instead of putting Celeste's happiness first.
But the romance part of the book is really good. So even if you don't like anything else, You'll fall in love with the book for Celeste and her werewolf. ;)
I also noticed some similarities between this and the Vampire Kisses series (also by Ellen Schreiber).
Brandon Maddox = Alexander Sterling. Celeste Parker = Raven Madison. Nash = Trevor.
If you've read Vampire Kisses, You'll understand. xD

Beware of a kiss under the full moon. It will change your life forever.
Shinobi Life, Vol. 02 - Shoko Conami Eeeep. I want a Kagetora! :o
I absolutely love the art work in these mangas.
Unfortunately my library only has the first two volumes... So looks like I'll be buying the rest because there is no way I'm leaving this series un-read!
It's amazing!
And has ninjas.
Amazing + Ninjas = Doesn't get better than that.
Warm Bodies - Isaac Marion I almost have my mom convinced to read this book! :o
It was AMAZING. Like... Better than Twilight.
I can not wait to see the movie in February. :)
I want my friends to read this book; I want my family to read this book; I want complete strangers to read this book.
It is not only a completely epic Zombie love story, It teaches valuable lessons, and leaves a positive influence.
Plus, Did I mention ZOMBIES!?
Not to mention R is dead sexy... Get it, Dead? xD
Alright, I'm done gushing. But seriously, Read it.
Vampire Kisses: Blood Relatives, Vol. 3 - Ellen Schreiber, Rem, Elisa Kwon This was one of my favorite mangas... I think maybe because I read the books first.
And after reading the books, Well, I was still craving more of Alexander & Raven's story.
The manga isn't a continuation (although that would be so cool!), it's a different story adding in more about Alexander's family.
It's great. The art work is fantastic. And I love actually getting to see Raven's amazing outfits!
Loved it!
Epic Fail - Claire LaZebnik At first I didn't think I would like this book. It just seemed... a bit typical, I guess.
I thought it would be way too predictable and I wouldn't be able to get interested in it; but I was wrong. It really turned out to hold my attention all the way through.
Claire LaZebnik had a great way of showing what it might be like for a teenager growing up with famous parents, how it really isn't all that glamorous.
And I loved that she really did give Elise a (slightly) insane family. Because in all honesty, isn't every family just a touch insane?
Epic Fail is a great book that should definitely be given a chance. C:
Summer Boys - Hailey Abbott This book completely made me think of the trip to Panama me & my friends went on over the summer. It was great and definitely shows how much can happen over one summer.
I'm not sure what else to say other than, You should read it. :)
Fairy Bad Day - Amanda Ashby Fairy Bad Day is one of those books that can be described as "cute". I liked it a lot, and I definitely want to read Zombie Queen of Newbury High, but it didn't make my list of favorites.
It was long but captivating. And although killer-fairies are quite unpleasant, the tiny mall-rat fairies are (dare-I-say) adorable and hilarious! I loved them!
Also I figured out Curtis's secrets way before he told Emma ~ and that's all I'll say about Curtis's secret. No spoilers here. :P
I think I was in love with the book up until the very end. The ending is what really didn't cut it for me. Either way, it's still a good read. :)
Some Girls Are - Courtney Summers Courtney Summers clearly knows what she's talking about when it comes to the mean girls in high school. This book really makes you think twice about hurting someone else and gives a lot of insight to bullying. High school was described realistically and yet we can have hope because "a whole world exists outside of that hellhole." Team Regina :)
Playing Hurt - Holly Schindler This is an amazing book of loss, love, and most importantly - healing.
I loved getting both Clint and Chelsea's points of views.
The book was a lot more realistic than what I was expecting. With Clint and Chelsea slowly warming up to one another.
I have to admit though, I'm secretly hoping for a second book...
Pushing the Limits - Katie McGarry So makes my list of favorite books. <3<br/>Somebody recommended this book to me when I asked for books like the Perfect Chemistry trilogy by Simone Elkeles, and they were SO right. This book could belong in the Perfect Chemistry series; it's just that good.
It was pretty close to perfect. The humor, the sarcasm, the amazing love story that turns out to be Noah and Echo. It's beautiful. Very realistic. The characters are faced with actual real life problems like Noah being in foster care and Echo dealing with why her parents divorced along with both of their dark tragedies.
I can't wait for Dare You To to come out! :)
