The Fiction Fairy

I'm Micheala Beth George, but most people just call me Mickey. I am 21 years young, and reading is one of my favorite escapes from reality. I love reading anything with some sort of romance in it. Happy Hustle High, Vol. 1 - Rie Takada That ending! I can not even describe how (pleasantly) shocked I was.
I ship Hanabi and Yasuaki.
The art work was also very nice. I have always loved Rie Takada's drawing style. However, I did like the art work more in Punch! or Gaba Kawa, but the drawing was still amazing in Happy Hustle High as well.
Unfortunately, My local library only has the first volume so it looks like I will be buying the rest of them, but I think this series will definitely be worth it.
If you have not read this then I'd definitely recommend it. It seems like an amazing romance manga, and is on the fast track of making it to my list of favorites!
SPOILER ALERT!
How to Ruin My Teenage Life - Simone Elkeles I loved this book!
I think Avi and Amy's relationship is pretty near perfect, and I'm requesting the next book from the library riiiiight... NOW!

I think Amy becoming Jewish gives this book a unique twist. I also like how dedicated Amy is to anything she sets her mind too. (Although her "aba" needs to turn down the protective meter.)
I'm hoping things heat up even more in Amy & Avi's relationship in the next book.
I guess I'll know soon!

Love all of Simone Elkeles's books (though the Perfect Chemistry series is still my favorite); Can't wait for her new book series! :D

Personal Perspective:
I would also like to add since I think Avi & Amy are such a cute couple that I like that their friends are supportive of their amazing relationship. Avi & Amy can't so much as take their eyes off each other while they're together, yet the friends are totally understanding, and still hang out with both of them. <3 Love it!
Thirteen Reasons Why - Jay Asher This book was remarkable.
As you all probably know by now, I HATE sad books. So I was really skeptical when I picked out Thirteen Reasons Why. I had a feeling I was going to dislike it from the start, but I had heard so many good things about it. So I decided that if it was as great as everyone said, then it would be good enough for me to like it even if it is sad.
I was shocked when I realized that I did, in fact, like it.
I think that everyone in high school should be required to read this book.
It really shows us that the simplest thing that we do to a person can have a lasting effect, and many people don't realize that.
I also really liked that Thirteen Reasons Why is written so originally. Not only with the audiotapes of Hannah, but also with it being suspenseful and mysterious.

If you haven't read this book because you don't want to read something sad or depressing, Read it. Trust me, You won't regret it.
It's Not Summer Without You - Jenny Han I feel like this book deserves 2 and a half stars but unfortunately there's no half.
I like the series but it's infuriating.
The characters (especially Conrad & Belly) just get on my nerves after a while. Belly is immature & Conrad is a jerk.
But at the same time, I want to know more of their story. I want to know how it will finally end.
That being said, Looks like I need to get the next book.
Second Chance Summer - Morgan Matson This book was truly amazing.
Second Chance Summer left me in tears. That, is not usually something a book can do. I can't even remember a book that really made me cry like this one.
With that being said, I would usually say that a book making me cry is in no way a good thing. I usually hate anything sad with unhappy endings, etc. But Second Chance Summer was an exception.
It takes you on a heartfelt journey of a family dealing with loss, growing closer together, learning to love, and having problems that they can't run away from- no matter how much they wish they could.

If you haven't read this yet, I definitely recommend you do.
I have to say, I liked it a lot more than Amy & Roger's Epic Detour, and hopefully Morgan Matson's books will just keep getting better with time.

I wish I knew more of what to tell you about Second Chance Summer, but to be honest, it left me feeling practically speechless. It's just something you'll have to read for yourself. <3
How to Ruin a Summer Vacation - Simone Elkeles I liked it a lot, the only drawback was how short it was!
I want more Avi & Amy... NOW. Haha. Needless to say, I'm already on hold for the next book from the library. I am really hoping this series has a happy ending.
But I've never read a Simone Elkeles book that I didn't like. ;)
The Kissing Booth - Beth Reekles This book was so good!

Sure, It has its issues like any book does. There were a few mistakes here and there with grammar and some British slang was used, but the content made up for any of that. Personally, I like my books with a perfectly happy ending all wrapped up with a nice little bow on top. But Beth Reekles' The Kissing Booth definitely made its way onto my list of favorite books.

Noah Flynn is by far the best book character I've read about in years. Most romance books have "the guy"; That guy who is so perfect it's just unrealistic. Thankfully, Beth Reekles did not give us "the guy". She gave us Noah. He is over-protective, way too jealous, a violence junkie, and a major jerk sometimes; but that is what made him perfect. <3<br/>
I was also quite happy that the author didn't make The Kissing Booth into your typical clishe romance. She kept it original. It had flirting, teasing, the BEST of friends, great characters, and it was just an all around great read.

In a sense, It was perfect. <3<br/>
I'm definitely looking forward to many more books by Beth Reekles.
Bittersweet - Sarah Ockler I have to admit, It doesn't make my list of top-faves. There wasn't enough Avery-Josh and/or Will action. But I did like the way it was written. How Sarah Ockler gave a perfectly happy ending in a way that wasn't predictable! I also loved all the cupcake stuff! (I'm now signed up for a cake decorating class... What can I say? Books effect me.)
Return to Paradise - Simone Elkeles Return to Paradise definitely made it onto my list of favorites. That ending!<3 I hated the ending of Leaving Paradise but this ending made up for it. I love Simone's books, and I think she'll always be one of my favorite authors with her amazing romances. :D

Mystic (Soul Seekers, #3)

Mystic (Soul Seekers, #3) - Alyson Noel Mystic is my favorite (so far) in the Soul Seeker series. Alyson Noel does a spectacular job of making the complicated journey of a Seeker easy to understand. (When I try to explain what the series is about.. Well, that's not so easy.) The characters are unique. (Xotchl especially. With her being blind yet able to see energy anything in her perspective was a little harder to picture but her character is definitely intriguing.) Then, of course, There's the romance. Daire and Dace are perfect together. They're definitely my two favorite characters, and the "love padlock" is now on my list of things to do. :) Basically what I'm saying is, this is a great book with romance, action, & some Native American myths thrown in. Mystic will be on sale in about a month! (;
Echo - Alyson Noel This book definitely gave me the Daire & Dace action I was hoping for. It was better than the first book, and leaves me not being able to wait to start the third. Im so rooting for Daire & Dace... Though I'm wondering who this new Axel character is. Alyson Noel is great at writing complicated yet captivating books and this series does not disappoint. ;)
Fated - Alyson Noel Fated was good... but the reason why I only gave it three stars is because I was really expecting more Daire and Dace action. So that's what I'm hoping will be in store for Echo. ;)
Should be starting on the next book tomorrow or Tuesday. ^-^

Daire Meets Ever (Soul Seekers, #0.5)

Daire Meets Ever (Soul Seekers, #0.5) - Alyson Noel Can't wait to get started with this series.
I'll admit, I haven't read any of Alyson Noel's books in a while because I got hooked on Evermore then Blue Moon depressed me... Sooo... I just stopped reading those.
Anywho, This seems like a great series that I'm hoping to get hooked on.
(Not to mention the fact that I love the names Alyson comes up with. Daire = So pretty.)
From Dead to Worse - Charlaine Harris I liked it, but it's not my favorite in the series.
I am hoping for some Eric or Sam action in the next book. This one seemed to be kinda bringing Sam back into the category of "love-interest" instead of "friend-zoned".
Anyway, I can't wait to get my hands on the next book. The Sookie Stackhouse Series is definitely a favorite of mine. :)
The Twelve Dates of Christmas (Simon Romantic Comedies) - Catherine Hapka I really did like the ending of this book, but it just wasn't my "cup-of-tea". ~That expression is slightly funny because I really do not like Tea at all.~ But the point is, I could not stand the main character (Lexi) so that basically messed up the book for me. I spent most of my time saying "You idiot. You idiot. You idiot." while reading about the stuff Lexi was doing from beginning to end. I did like Nick however; He was a really sweet character.
The Twelve Dates of Christmas is a cute/light read. :)
Black Bird, Vol. 4 - Kanoko Sakurakouji I think this will always be one of my favorite mangas. Black Bird has beautiful artwork and I love the storyline. I can definitely see the series making my list of Top-Faves if it has a happy ending. ^-^
